Superheroes and goblins received a treat from TECO employees

Patricia J. Sullivan Metropolitan Ministries Partnership School

As we enter the holiday season, one group of youngsters have magic to remember already. Call it the Nightmare before Christmas – with an emphasis on dreams coming true. That’s after volunteers donated costumes or money for costumes to help about 100 disadvantaged children at the Patricia J. Sullivan Metropolitan Ministries Partnership School to have a happy Halloween.

The school, in Tampa Heights, serves children from homeless families staying at Metropolitan Ministries. TECO has a longstanding connection with the school, with team members donating their time and charitable efforts as mentors and in support of field days, back-to-school backpack drives and holiday initiatives.

On Friday, Oct. 29, Sullivan School was a veritable Hall of Justice (with a few assorted “bad guys” in the mix). Buzz Lightyear, Batwoman, Thanos, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Boba Fett, Black Panther, several witches, pirates, ninjas and ballet dancers – that’s just a few of the characters who ended up with big smiles and lots of Halloween candy.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make it happen, joining in the fun and spirit of giving at Sullivan School!
